The Languedoc-Roussillon...

Located in the middle of the South of France, the Languedoc-Roussillon enjoys a Mediterranean climate and is known as the sunniest and hottest region of France, with an average of 300 days of sunshine per year.

'Discovered' in recent years, the Languedoc is very accessible via low-cost flights to five airports in the region (Beziers, Montpellier, Carcassonne, Perpignan and Nimes).

In addition, excellent motorway links into the region (including the stunning new Millau bridge) now make driving down far easier - and the high speed train service (TGV) also runs into the Languedoc.

It has never been easier to get here!

Just a day's exploring can give you a stunning variety of landscapes and experiences: a village nestling in the hills of the national park, the travelling markets of the traditional rural villages; local cuisine and wines; perhaps a little time to visit a beautiful Mediterranean beach... As well as house hunting, plan some time in your visit for exploring areas and amenities and experiencing a little of local life!

The Languedoc is renowned for its natural beauty and historic and cultural interest yet offers the best value in property in the true Mediterranean South of France.

For village houses, rural retreats, modern and traditional villas - or even a chateau - you will find an excellent range of properties here, whether for a holiday home or permanent relocation. At all levels, prices here are extremely favourable compared with many more widely known areas.

From the hills of the national park, through the vineyard country and down to the Mediterranean beaches, the Languedoc is a most beautiful region of contrasting landscapes, with something to offer everyone - and remember that this is the sunniest region of France!

The regional capital is the city of Montpellier - and the region is made up of administrative areas known as 'departements'; we specialise in property in the Aude, Herault and Pyrenees-Orientales departements - generally from Beziers in the heart of the region, across to Carcassonne in the Aude department, and also South towards Perpignan and beyond in the Pyrenees-Orientales department.

In the Aude departement, we cover a wide area centred around Carcassonne, including the beautiful Minervois and Corbieres areas, as well as South towards Limoux.

We have excellent coverage to the North of Beziers, in the Herault departement, from the vineyard country on the plain to the edge of the hills of the Haut Languedoc Parc Naturel - our area may be roughly defined by the small towns and main villages of Lamalou les Bains, Herepian, and Bedarieux at the edge of the hills - and on the plain Autignac, Magalas and close to Beziers, with our area reaching close to Pezenas in the East.

We can also help with coastal areas of the Pyrenees-Orientales departement, the most Southern area of the region - French Catalonia, with easy access to the Pyrenees and skiing, as well as the holiday resorts and beaches.
